How do we lose Self Love?

Self Love is impacted by negative experiences such as childhood trauma, emotional abuse, or toxic relationships that can damage self-esteem and self-worth. This can lead to negative self-talk, self-doubt, and a constant feeling of not being good enough.

Additionally, societal pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards or societal norms can lead to feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem, causing individuals to devalue themselves.

Furthermore, adverse life events such as loss, failure, or rejection can lead to decreased self-love. When people experience a setback, they may blame themselves, resulting in guilt, shame, and self-loathing.

This can then lead to a cycle of negative self-talk and decreased self-worth. Without proper support and self-care, this negative cycle can continue and impact all areas of a person’s life, leading to anxiety, depression, and relationship problems.

Luckily, though it might seem impossible, self-love is absolutely and utterly possible once you begin the journey back to you.



How lack of Self Love Impacts You

When we love ourselves, we impact ourselves and others around us.  the same can be said for when we don’t love ourselves.

Lack of self-love stops you from living the life that fits who you are because when you don’t love yourself you become small, preferring to hold others light up, while all the while resenting them, knowing you should be held up.

When you don’t love yourself, you abuse your body with poor food and lack of exercise.  You will hang out with others who don’t act in your best interests and have stress and anxiety regularly.

When you love yourself better, you do better and require better.
